Why list here: how AI assistants find local help
More people now ask an AI assistant who to call after a DUI arrest instead of scrolling a page of links. This page explains how those answers are put together, and why having your business described the same way on more of the sites they read can help.
A site built around one topic
HelenDUI.com covers one subject: what happens after a DUI arrest in Helen and White and Habersham counties, Georgia. That focus, and the way the pages are built, makes the site easy for people and for software to read.
- One question per section, with clear headings and plain answers.
- Local facts drawn from official sources: courts, the Georgia DDS, the jail, and local police, with addresses and phone numbers taken from official sites.
- A directory of attorneys, car insurance agents, bail bondsmen, towing, and other local help, published with structured data (schema.org) so name, address, phone, and category are machine-readable.
- Guides that list their sources and show when they were last reviewed.
- Regular rebuilds, with recent local DUI coverage from HERE Helen on the home page.
How AI assistants answer questions
Tools such as ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Grok answer a question in a few sentences rather than a list of links. To do that, they search the web, read a number of pages, compare what they find, and write one answer. Many of them show the pages they drew on as links or citations.
How many pages sit behind an answer depends on the tool and the question. Published studies from 2026 found that some assistants cite a handful of sources per answer while others often cite 10 or more. The chart below shows what three of those studies measured.
How many sources AI assistants cite per answer
- Prefer, Sept. 2026
- Hendricks, Sept. 2026
- Zhang et al., Apr. 2026
Average number of sources cited per answer, as measured by three published studies in 2026. Each bar is one study. Studies used different questions and counting methods, so the numbers are not directly comparable; read them as rough ranges. Copilot and Grok are not shown because we did not find a published study that measured them. These studies used general questions, not DUI or legal questions, and assistants change how they search over time.

- Hendricks, B. L., The Answer Index, September 2026 (480 consumer questions across eight industries, captured Sept. 1, 2026; ChatGPT figure is per answer that cited anything, which was 15% of its answers).

A short answer that names a few local options and links to the sources it used.
The answer is assembled from many places. A business that is described the same way across several of them gives the assistant more to work with.
Why being in more places can help
AI assistants are built to compare sources, and details that appear the same way in more than one place are easier for them to confirm. When your name, a short description of what you do, and your services appear consistently on your own website, on topic sites, and on local news sites, each mention is another source that agrees with the others. That improves the chances an assistant finds you, trusts the details, and includes you in more answers.

Small things that help
- Use the same business name, address, and phone number everywhere.
- Describe your services in plain words, the way a client would ask about them.
- Link your listing to your website, and keep both up to date.
No one controls how AI tools choose their sources. Each tool decides what to read and cite, and that changes over time. A listing on HelenDUI.com can help, but we cannot promise search rankings, placement in AI answers, calls, or cases. HelenDUI.com is an information site and directory, not a law firm. Attorneys are responsible for making sure their own advertising follows the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct.
